This is a record for the conceptual ramblings and thoughts that emerge from my conscious/unconscious mind and become marks on the page.
I used to produce the majority of my sketches during the only down time I could reliably count on in graduate school. The weekly lectures and classes that made up my academic coursework became my time to draw and work through the ideas and concepts where always waiting to spring forth. It took years for me to identify this method of thought production and good of bad, it is still what I do to this day. By attempting to overload my brain through the piggybacking of stimuli I could move to a state where my conscious/subconscious reached stasis. In the classroom the audible sound of the lecture, the visual marking of the ink flow, and the tactile texture of the paper allowed me to slip away for fifty minutes and create.
